Well, considering that you can pick these cars up for 10k range or less now. It's cheaper to get a Lex than a new Civic or even a new Hyundai! lol
Good choice man, I would still take a used GS anyday over a new economy car.
I always got crap for driving a Lexus at 16. My parents surprised me with a used 01 IS300. They paid around 17K for it from some lady leaving the country. I always told people driving a new scion or honda that they could have had a Lexus for around the same price. Sure mine was used but it looked new. I drove that car to 140,000 miles before I sold it. I bought a Mercedes but am selling it to come back to Lexus. Congratulations on your purchase. You'll love the Lexus family.

yes i completely understand that jeff but lets see back 1998 when i got my drivers license the Lexus was STILL a fortune so it really wasnt a option but i understand bout the prices nowadays. my gf just bought a used mazda 626 and i told her for about 1-2k more she could have bought a nice rx300 for her and the girls but that's how cars value's go.
hell back when i was driving jeeps,240sx's were the popular/cool/dream cars most of us could afford. my first car was a POS literally but after hard work and what not i can say im happy to be in the lexus family and plan to stay.
Thats awesome. my first car was a ford probe that lasted about 3 months due to an oil leak that led to a blown head gasket. The GS was my second. i wish i had an 02 but im content with my '99 n im 19
