Intake cured!!!
so as we all know, i was experiencing a very boisterous intake system. well today with the temps down a bit, it has quieted down. so i guess the culprit is the less dense air of higher temps. thank god, b/c i thought that i had a problem. on a side note, i reset my ecu last night. whoa!!! pulled the fuse, left it out for like an hour as i finished seeing patients. end of the day i put it back in. as in im pulling onto the road from the office, i gas the hell out of it. obviously, i hadnt straightened the car completely up b/c when i got on it, if fishtailed like crazy. i mean cloud of smoke and all. i have never done that before......ever. resetting my ecu become as routine as a shower from now on thanx for the info guys.

Glad you got things squared away. Maybe we need to look into some sort of mod where we could mount a switch in the interior that would disconnect power from the ECU... that way you wouldn't have to pop the hood everytime you wanted to clear things out... hehe

the only problem with that switch to turn the ECU on and off at will would be that if it malfunctions, while ur driving, the whole car will turn off and the steering wheel will lock up and that would be very bad

DrRick - did you see on your original thread that I said it was temperature/humidity related? Anyway, glad you're ok now.

I was thinking more of mounting a switch near the fuse box. Then all you need to do is pop the hood and flip the damn switch. I am just worried about it malfunctioning like what "ShowGSLuVv" said. hmmm...could cut the wire...but I hate splicing.
Just a thought.
