just to chime in, just got my eibachs installed & it leaves exactly 2 finger gaps between front & rear for the 02' 300 with 18x9 wheels oem spec tires.

Okay...heres my set up. I have two fingers up front and 1 finger in the rear. My car is a GS300, but my Eibach Pro's and struts are for a GS430.

Why such a difference between the models.

On springs??? As low as they'll go, you'll never have an alignment problem. I got the espelirs (biggest drop possible on springs) and my alignment specs are all within OEM range.

heavy system in the rear? from looking around @ photos theres a few members here where the back IS lower than the fronts and gives off a "boat" like effect.

I imagine the back sitting lower than the front has a lot to do with corner balancing and/or weight distribution so in my estimation, it's a good thing. If you look at some of the best handling cars from German manufacturers the profile of their vehicles is lower in the back than the front.

For some of the people that want to slam their rides the emphasis seems more "show than go," for the individual who started the post he's looking for more functionality than fashion so I don't recall equal finder gaps being an issue for the poster.

My suggestion is that the poster contact the spring maker to clarify the difference between the 430/400/ and 300 spring drops. I imagine since the curb weight of each of the vehicles is about the same there most likely won't be a problem interchanging applications.

i'll try to snap some pics in a few, started to rain in ny.

you have a point there with the balane/weight, our heavy 8/6 engines would cause a problem if it dipped in sudden braking or any hard cornering. but since we have progressive springs should it still sit that way? i would think a more aggressive single rate spring would do that only. im not too familiar with suspension yet, only use i have them for is a more steady ride never pushed em to the test theyre really made for.

stock shocks, but i prefer u change them while ur at it the car is roughly over 10yrs old you might as well you know? with worn shocks youll experience hard dips in braking & bad rebounds. but if your current shocks are still well and perky then i say keep em.

I'm doin the NF210's with 19's in the future. Your 18's only need a subtle/conservative drop.

you will definitely feel a difference compared to stock, especially since i went from my oem 16's to 18's you feel the road now. when you go in and out of lanes the car feels more confident at semi high speeds (75-90) and body roll is reduced by alot for normal highway roads.

only thing to me is i have a tte lip and ny has alot of steep driveways for everything here malls/supermarkets etc.. so i have to be careful how i exit/enter areas now even with a 1'0 drop i scrape around here. if anything i would have gone a slightly fatter tire setup just to give me that added small protection from nyc potholes and stuff.
