Default In need of help choosing an 2jz engine, upgrading from na-t

Hey guy I have been MIA for a year now. i decided that im not gonna run na-t anymore and do a whole motor swap. i need to know what are the cons and pros of the 2jzgte. i see most people run like 94+ 2jzgte. but then there is the 98+ 2jzgte block.

i want to know what is the advantage and in future upgrades. im hoping to keep the stock ecu and twins for a while before i upgrade them.

Pre-98 blocks won't fit without custom motor mounts. You won't pass emissions w/ either standalone or JDM ECU. 98+ vvti will be your best bet as far as dropping in. Look up Dr. Tweak at Phoenix tuningfor your wiring needs if you want to even try and pass the obdii plug-in emissions test. Goodluck trying to get a hold of him and not waiting weeks and months on his list.

you have no choice but to go 98+ aristo swap otherwise you will have wiring hell on your hands.

98+ GTE VVTi is your best bet. There is a place that sells full front clips for 3500USD.
