Hi,
I recently bought a 99GS300 which had the stereo stolen out of it a week prior. No big deal, i thought. I was driving it to get it inspected and decided to push the loose wires back into the stereo pocket so it wouldn't look so bad. When I pushed them back the a/c unit and clock went blank. I assumed it would be a fuse and nothing big. I pulled into the shop and found the stick would not pass through Neutral to get to Park. I have checked all of the fuses and they are all good.... under passenger dash, in engine compartment etc. The check engine came on with P1127. I reset it but still no luck. Stuck in Neutral. Is there a hidden fuse someplace? Did I fry my computer? It drives fine going forward. Any help / ideas would be much appreciated.
Sorry to have my first post be a HELP!! post but I promise I'll contribute soon. I've been a member about a week and have found good information on here so far. I'm a mechanical engineer and this Lexus is a project just to get it back to new condition.... mainly bondo and paint.

Nevermind. I got it. Just in time too. Certainly somebody is typing a joke about engineers not knowing how to check fuses.
After posting I found a post saying there was a fuse box on the drivers side too. Not having good lighting and having the parking brake down (car stuck in neutral thing) I had missed that box. The 15 amp radio fuse did the trick and now everything works including my gear shift. That was a bit crazy.
Thanks anyway... and you'll probably have more opportunities for engineer jokes ; )
