Hey William,

Would had to see your car go, but I can relate - sometimes we all have to move on.
Lately, this car has been calling my name:

Given how little I drive my GS these days and with my new endeavor, I just can't justify it now. And the maintenance on the Maser scares me; I've been spoiled by the great Lexus reliability. Even if I WAS ready to pull the trigger, it would be tough for me to sell my GS, though. I feel your pain...

Good luck with the sale; the future owner will hopefully recognize that they are getting a one-of-a-kind Lexus!

It sucks to hear this. I too really hope this car ends up in the right hands, hopefully a fellow member. I still remember how your GS was and still is one of the most recognizable on the site when I first started browsing these forums.

How many miles do you have on the car? That seems like a really really good price especially considering the quality level of the modifications. thumbup:.

I'm looking for something like a 2000 GS400 or 2001 or newer GS430. They are a very nice balance of performance, reliability, safety and value. I've looked at about 4 or 5 so far. A clean one was at a Lexus dealer but they were asking more than it was worth. Another clean one with navigation sold for $9900 a few hours before I could get to it.

I am very **** about my cars. For years I have had a free company car so I have not purchased a car. I'd really like something that is fun to drive now and decided last week to buy one. I have cash burning a hole in my pocket for a clean car preferably with less than 100K miles. Don't need one with a bunch of mods nor would that likely be in my budget. Wife has capped me at $11K. I found a stock GS400 that ran strong for $7,500 but too many small things with the interior and exterior that would bug me 24/7 until I fixed them all. Rather pay more and get something that the owner was proud to own and the condition reflects that. I think I can find something in a matter of time but it gets old looking at cars that the owners say are clean just to find out they are not. If anyone here has a car in SoCal that is clean and well maintained I have the cash for the right car (black, silver or white.)
