I would 'prefer' to sell the entire kits.

Out of curiousity, what is the current availability (for other vendors you have visited) and pricing on EACH 8000k bulb averaging? I have an idea of what I can GB at, but it may be insulting on the bulbs only.

100% optics. Just like a prism slices white light into it's component colors, a lens will slice white light into colors at it's edges (a prominent effect with projectors). If you look into those Audi headlights from head on, it's is undisputeably daylight white. Also check the light on the ground: daylight white. The headlights on Audi and BMW are purple and blue at wide angles and far distances, but the straighter and closer you look at them the whiter they become. They will throw off color at the edges, but they are solid state white. HID capsules also emit red light, but the red light is discharged at the bottom, where the reflector shield blocks it. This is why only the blue spectrum is ever "shown". Honda S2000s actually show the red sometimes because they use special optics that are unique to all others.

If you want to dispute the fact that all OEM HIDs are 4100K, take a picture of an HID capsule's base where all the specs are, and post the picture here. Or get official documentation from Audi/Acura. Then I'll shut up Though I'll tell you now, many people have already used Audi HIDs including the TT HIDs and all of them have confirmed a 4100K color temp.

BTW, here's a pic of one HID bulb inserted properly, and one inverted 180 degrees. One is blue, and one is red....
I totally agree with you. I see tons of BMW 5 series cars that have very white looking headlights and then they hit a bump and you get a glimpse of blue/purple color. Same with the new jetta, it hits a bump and you see a different wavelength of light, works for both halogen and xenon!

I've got the same Hella 7000K kit and mine is WAY more purple. I really don't like mine and would rather have the 4200K kit instead.

If you got the same 7000K Hella's then you must have gotten the "violet" kit. There are two different kits out for sale. My kit is the blue one. The color is very nice looking at night. I heard that the violet kit almost has a pink-ish/purple effect for our cars. Haven't seen one though....

Sorry, but I already have a buyer for my kit. I'm taking a pretty hard hit at selling them for $380 shipped.

What is the best price that you guys are finding for these things? I may be able to get you pretty good prices on the Hella Kits. I have a guy locally who sells them for a decent price. let me know what the market price is, and I'll let you know if I can beat it.

oh yeah, mine is the purple kit....it's violet and makes the road look violet/pink. But road signs light up an irridecent blue!

I'm going to get the 7000K blue set next.
