Whether they are the BRIGHTEST they could be or not, is not relevant to them.

We have other people who are very knowledgeable in lighting and measurement of lighting and would never diffuse the clean beam of white light 4300K, and brightest of light just because of the bluer, greener, purple..(whatever) kind of color.

But EVERY discussion about this topic of HIDs, people are always trying to IMPOSE not ADVISE but views, expertise, opinion over the other.
Offering it as advice is one thing, but everyone comes off as an EXPERT here.

Just go w/what you like please....and for ther others who have great advice to offer, please offer it as ADVICE and not opportunities to CORRECT or ADMONISH. This goes for ALL people from Both sides of the coin.

For those who are light enthsuiast to the the last LUMENS...more power to you, but I don't think everyone else needs to embrace or share that enthusiasm.
In the other respect, those who just go for the LOOK should realize that we spew ignorance to those who know better about lights.

Just APPRECIATE your DAMN GOOD LOOKING RIDES and drop the haterade! =)
My purpose here is to inform. I do not impose anything on anyone. Read my posts carefully "points of clarification". That is the only time I ever jump into these HID threads. I only present facts. If you prefer I don't, just say the word and I'm gone for good. On the contrary I think I am the one being "hated" on here.

JAC, this is where I got the "Osram 8000K" thing. I know you didn't specifically say Osram made 8000K bulbs, but it looked like it.

Yeah, and the bulbs are made by Osram/Silvania . Hella Ballasts are the best for sure, way better/more reliable than anything else I have seen out there.
Also, the comparison I made with the Philips bulbs weren't to set hard numbers on color temps, but to give a comparison between two different colored bulbs which are otherwise the exact same. I was showing the relative brightness drop between the two, that is all.

That's my point. You are getting hated on, and I don't want to see that.

I was hoping that you didn't think my post was a shot towards u. I've learned a lot from your posts.

It's just that people are on diff wavelengths in this discussion and it's seems so apples and oranges. I've read through em, and I don't see the point. There are people who are just being superficial and want a look, and others are light enthusiasts.

Please don't take it as a shot towards you. As I stated in the post....it was meant for EVERYONE. Everybody was spewing ignorance from both sides and haterade.

No offense buddy. I think you're a cool poster. I even referred u to my installation guy. He's a really good hook up.

So anyhow...

I too will have to defend lex400sc, I've learned a lot about HID's because of him and I can tell that he knows his stuff. I've decided on the Phillip 4200K kit so I can get maximum lumen output and a quality product.

I'm telling you to go 7200k atleast. If you want to have something very kewl or just have regular oem hid's it up to you. You can't tell the difference between any of the bulbs so might as well get a nice color emitting from your bulbs.

Concepts- I got some questions...
you don't have any 4100K kits?
who makes your ballasts/igniter for your 6000 kits?
your website says that your 8000K kits put out 3200 lumens... kinda hard to believe... can you back that up?

Our specs were taken from the packaging. I cannot back it up.

I have seen ALL the kits in person and we have installed quite a few of all the kits from the beginning.

I have seen the 4100k kits
I have seen the 5500k kits
Then the new 6000k kits
and not the 8000k kits.

I can tell you, to the naked eye and during DAYLIGHT, the 8000k kit is white IS VERY VERY nice bright with a nice soft blue glow.

If you want to look at one of our installs and one of the 5500k kits compared to my Lexus HIDs, here it is

http://www.autotoys.com/New_Tech/DIY...id_lights.html

The last 2 pictures show the HIDs side the side. The LAST picture shows the LEXUS HID on the right with the 5500k kit on the LEFT

The main thing I see on the website comparing the Lexus OEM HID is that the one's on the Civic just look like they have more glare than the GS's, not necessarily brigher.

If I do go higher than 4200K I will go to 6000k for the look and no higher. I trust Phillips not anything above the 6000k spectrum. I want real brightness and think the look of the stock HID is cool enough. The OEM HID on our LS looks great to me.

so when's the group buy gonna be approved? i wanna get some HIDs... especially since I just burned out a halo bulb last week... who approves the group buys?

*hurry*hurry*hurry*...

i'm still a little torn about which ones i want... do i want bad-*** color or bar-none brightness? argh... for now i think i'm sitting with LexRX in the 6000K area... the 8000K stage 2 pix look pretty damn good though... decisions, decisions...

oh yeah... you can get in on the 7000K hellas (blue or purple) for $420 shipped at this group buy:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=116114

lemme know if any of you decide to jump on this... seems like a great deal too...

do-luck - actually, the "losing high beams" thing is only pertinent to H4 size lights... H4s have both the high and low beams in the same bulb... i think it has 2 filaments in the bulb. your SC has 9006 (i think) for the lows and 9005 ( i think) for the high beams so you would not lose your high beams when you get the HID kit.

If you notice, the link that i put up is to a maxima enthu groupbuy forum... i think some maximas have H4 as their lights so thats why that guy put that info up... hope that helps...
