found this while car browsing for dad in Taiwan
my dad's 1994 E320 is dying
so im looking for a newer car for him to drive around in Taipei
hes only there half of the year and only needs it for short drives to run errands and such
so i did a quick search for lexus in taiwan and this is what i found
http://www.ocar.com.tw/index/cardetail/id/56380
interesting specimen
didnt think people there would have the same taste as we do on CL
lol
wish he had painted the rear backup radar though
and could do without the ugly walnut stick on

sedan is a must
luxury is a must
reliability is one of the most needed
Cifero are actually not that great
most of the ones in taiwan are made in taiwan
hes actually pretty well off but doesnt need the latest cars or the best
he is consulting for a chinese company in beijing for half of the year
other half being in taipei so doesnt want to worry about the car getting too flashy when not in the country
it isnt really gas thats the problem
it is the engine displacement levy the government imposes annually and on the insurance as well
anything more than 2.8L costs about 800 CAD more in levy (that is on top of base rate for cars under 2.8L)
not to mention more insurance too
