Quick question: Trying to find an 2003-2005 GS300 and there are not much sellers but I do see many dealer ads. I don't really trust those kind of dealers that sell used cars but what do you guys think?

Hit and miss for me. I gave up looking for an ES330 for a friend of mine because all the used car dealers jacked up the price so high while wanting to tack on a bunch of fees.

We ended up buying from a private party and saved thousands of dollars without worrying if the car is dirty or not (accident and such that weren't reported).

I would get a carfax and inspect the whole car very carefully for any hidden repairs or damages and definitely test drive it.

dang....commute LA-SD is crazy...lol.

i've been driving GS in the last 3 yrs, commute from BP-WestLA, 1 hr at least, not a problem whatsoever.

Yeah, no joke about the LA-SD drive. My uncle's 06 camry already has 90K miles! *sigh... so impatience to get one of these bad boys already!

SOCAL: For anyone that lives in the socal area. Give me a heads up if you find a nice 2003-2005 GS300/400 under 100k miles! Thanks!

RanDsnuts, i actually planning to sell my 03 GS300 w/ 70K miles.

but the color is not black/white/silver/red, it's blue merlin pearl. pretty rare color.

I bought my GS400 in May 08 with 125k miles. That fall - my fiancee and I drove it from Cincinnati, OH to Albuquerque, NM to visit family.

This drive is 1360mi ONE WAY.

We drove the car at an average speed of 80mph the whole way. Then drove it around town for a week - including a day trip to Santa Fe doing approx 100-110mph there and back - and then drive it home.

Drove like a dream - but I am very uptight about doing maintenance on time.

Averaged 22mpg+ consistently.
