i've been using Falken tires for many many years now.. since '02. No problems whatsoever. I think this may be User error or for an application that was not recommended by manufacture.

..and what EXACTLY would that be? An application not intended by the manufacture....REALLY? It was on a car, that's what there for right? Or have I been doing it wrong this whole time? Look, I have owned Falkens before, and have been satisfied with them. But this tire, on this car, on the day, FAILED, plain and simple. It happens, welcome to the real world.....

Its funny how people have used a product for their entire life with no problems and assume from that point on that there are no defects...especially in mass production.

Although lots of tire failure could be from low pressure or overstretching, there are manufacture defects. Anyone remember "firestone"?

Typically, tires fall apart like this due to being ran under inflated. I would definitely give Falken's quality assurance department and have a chat with them.

Having a straight on shot of the tread would be helpful in telling what happened as well.

Running plus size wheels usually require an increased cold psi than running the stock sizing. Many people don't realize this and it doesn't always cause problems, but it certainly does happen.

I got a pair of 452's 35 profile upfront and they are LOUD even with a lot of tread life du ma. My Nitto NT555s were way quieter than the 452s, once these wear out I'm going with Yokos

LexusK,

You should be fine. I've been running 452, 512, and today, just purchased another set of 828.

As long you keep it inflated properly and mount the tires on a approved rim width, then you should be fine...

I've had countless sets of Falken and never had a problem.

But i do agree, they do get loud through time.

Goodluck!
