I have a gs400 like you guys may have seen in another thread

I just got it and I dont like the headlights that came with it, I want to go back to original head lights. does it matter if what was in there before? whether it was original xenon or original halogen?

I was looking into getting a set of non hid head lights.
but would they work? if it previously had Xenon originals? does it even matter?
how do I even tell?

Idk if this helps, but I dont think I saw an HID ballast, maybe it was hidden well.
not seeing one made me ponder for sure if it had original HID's in it.
if it IS original xenon lights,

can the regular halogen headlamps be used with a car that had xenon?

I REALLY dont want to have to spend a lotta $ on xenon lights.

The halogen harness is different from the HID harness. That's one way to tell. Another way to tell is to look for the autoleveling mechanism on the suspension.

OEM ballast is located and bolted down on the headlight itself.

auto leveling mechanism on the suspension? where in the world would that be? on the struts?

dont HID equiped GS' have a symbol that appears on the dash for autoleveling?

I just wanna reiterate what I wanna find out.

could I replace what I have with non hid housings.
and if i had xenon's previously, could I STILL use non xenon housings?

You can use 98-05...depends on whether you want the green tint on the headlight. If you decide to sell the ones you have, send me a PM or email (Loh_Ji@yahoo.com). Stock headlights (non-HID) are pretty easy to find. Good luck!
