I've looked but have not found the answer. I read that theoretically the GS400 with the low drag coefficient is capable of 180. I would not want to test that out unless I was out in a very flat lake bed. But I don't like the idea of a limiter on the car. Seems like there would be a relatively easy way to reprogram the cut off speed.

Like I said, I would not want to try it, especially with a stock suspension. I just don't like others to impose limitations on my things. It was an article at The Auto Channel that said "theoretically" it could hit 180. Sounds high...

http://www.theautochannel.com/vehicl...xus_gs400.html

Who knows?

Snipit from story:

"Contributing to the stable, accurate handling are the optional ($215) 8 x 17 alloys fitted with Bridgestone Potenza 235/45ZR tires. Although the tires are rated for speeds beyond 149 mph, the car is electronically governed to 149, even though it has a theoretical top speed of about 180 with a drag coefficient of a lowly .29 (down from .31)."

Very cool, thanks. They sell between $110 to $150. Found one specific for Toyota. Next I have to see if there is a safe place to test going over 150MPH to decide if I'll pick one up!

Um dude, I would seriously, like really really seriously recommend you do your suspension first. I am talking, daizen steering bushings, poly control arm bushings, sways, braces the whole nine before taking a run like that. I did it on stock, at about $140 you will feel like the car is going to take off and flip. Steering becomes too loose and scary. Different story now with all my suspension mods. Now I can cruize at 120 and you can only tell im hauling because of the wind noise. I don't think this car will pull to 180.

With about 700rwhp these cars can sprint to 185mph(gps verified) relatively easily
I'm geared for a theoretical maximum of 210mph, but I'm not gona push my luck that far
