Who thinks 18s are too small for the GS?

Well, if you have a kit the 18's definitely look too small. But I actually think the stock 17's look ok on a stock vehicle [could use a little lowering, though].
Given proper fundage I would go with 19" HRE 5XXR's. I will probably "settle" on 18" Volk LE37K's as the best compromise of price, performance and looks.

I'm pretty sure they are 18x8fr and 18x9r, and like Dex said, they look tight! I just couldn't believe they weren't 20's... actually got down on my hands and knees to read the tire sizes

Atleast stay away from anything with a lip if your going that small.

it all depends, i would never go with a spoke wheel thats 18, but a mesh wheel in 18 looks good.
i would never go with an HRE wheel in 18 because there is so much like lets call it "non-spoke" area...
a wheel with no lip where the spoke goes right to the end of hte rim would look like a 19 in an 18 inch size.
here is the LE37K on the GS. its 18"

The Volks on the GS look fine but it looks to me that they are running a really low profile tire...more like what you run on a 19 incher.
I definitely agree on the HREs...esp the old style without the flat lip. An 18 looked smaller than my 17...WEAK.
I am going 5 spoke and a big lip for certain.

Rims
If you have a wheel that is open in design meaning you can see the brakes and stuff easy like a 5 spoke.. you will need a larger wheel to get that big look..
I think you should stay stock or go 20' 19' are rare and tire cost is generally the same or more than it is in 20' if you shop around .
Either way..you need to look at how much you drive..i drive a lot so i replace tires every year..maintenance is the issue.. i see so many people come out with 20's riding around flossing until those tires get low and then they run out of the money they had when they bought the rims.... Riding around with tires so bald you can see the air in them!!!!

Thanks for the BIG pics....
M5 is my fav of those.
Sounding more and more like 19's...from the get-go that is what I wanted...trying to justify it.
Thanx y'all.

I think 20s on the GS is the perfect size. 19s are the smallest I'd ever go. Here's a pic of my friend's GS on 19s, albeit they are Zenettis, he is going to sell them and get 20s instead. This gives you a pretty good idea of how they fill the wheel wells....
