Who thinks 18s are too small for the GS?

I've seen a few GS's with 20's that weren't dropped and they still look awesome.

i went with 19's because 20's ride so rough imo.
i chose a wheel with no lip so the wheel would look bigger than it is. Ive yet to see a 19" wheel with a lip that I really like and can justify the price on.
I am very happy with how the Moda's look on my car. mild, not wild. a "factory but better" look.
here are some shots of the car.

Jacob,
How much of a difference is the ride on 20s versus 17-18-19 etc? I like the look of 20s but I don't want to have the sports-car ride back again. I'm getting old (or feel like it at least) and I want some level of comfort still.
I like the rid on BMWs and possibly could go a step firmer than that, but I don't want to wince everytime I hit a small bump in the road like I did with my twin-turbo sports sled. Thanks for any insight you or others can lend in this respect.

I have been thru 3 sets of rims(16, 18 and 20) with the same suspension setup. 16s were very soft, actually too soft for my taste. But with 18s and 20s I could not tell any difference. I'm old too, but I like the look and performance out of 20" rims Trust me, if you stay on the spring/shock side(vs. coilover), the ride will never be too harsh.

Thanks Jacob, that helps me out a lot. I just didn't want to drop a bunch of cash on some wheels and end up hating the ride. Since you're in Texas as well, do you have any rim bending issues with the roads in Austin?

another option is the "fat setup" -- you can search in the wheel forum for threads on this
staggered 19" wheels with 245-40-19, 275-35-19
tire protection equal to 18s
total wheel size with tires equal to 20s
staggered 19" wheels with 245-40-19, 275-35-19
tire protection equal to 18s
total wheel size with tires equal to 20s
