I take these off all the time. It's a little tricky though. The problem is that the glue is not thermoreactive like the headlight sealant. It's basically just silicone sealant on the fogs. Heat doesn't cause it to go soft and liquid like the headlight glue, it basically stays solid always. The heat does help you pry it out a bit more easily though.

Here's the process I used: Throw foglights in oven to heat it up. Remember use the residual heat to warm the fogs, never have the oven on with the fogs in or else the plastic will melt. So basically just do a preheat to around 300-350F like you would cooking pizza(have the fogs sitting outside while the oven warms up), but when you throw in the foglights MAKE SURE you turn the oven off. After letting it sit in there for about 5 mins remove them from the oven and make sure you have some gloves on. The lights will be pretty hot.

This next step is key in removing the fogs without damaging the glass lens. You need something with a wide flat surface to pry against the foglight lens and housing...kind of like a flatheat screwdriver but the head needs to be wider. The goal here is to distribute the load prying agasint the glass lens. If you just use a single screwdriver to pry, then you have a pretty good chance of making chips in the glass or cracking it. The other method is to use two screwdrivers at the same time and hold the fogs in a vise or have a friend hold it. Or even better, have them pry on it with one hand while holding it with the other and you can pry with both hands. This way you will have 3 points of contact and will reduce the chance of cracking. You really have to put some effort prying it, almost to the point that it feels like you're gona break the lens lol. Don't worry, you will get the feel for it. If you start making little chips in the glass, then back off the prying a little bit and redistribute the load(reposition screwdrivers). Anyways, have fun and good luck on your project

I wish they just sold the clear lenses, I've got a cracked passenger side, I would have done this in a heartbeat.

The LEDs probably won't give as good light output as it would from a HID bulb. I mean, the LEDs will look bright when other motorists see them, but as far gaining extra light output while you're driving (from your perspective while behind the wheel), I don't think it will happen. It would look cool though depending on how you arrange the LEDs.

Cool daytime LEDs would look pretty sick! I saw a white IS-F in the other sub-forum with a LED strip in his headlight housing and it looked sick.
