non hid to hid housings

Default non hid to hid housings

just a quick question..

would the auto leveling still work if i buy hid housings for my car which did not come stock with hids??

I've always wondered if you can do this:

Take a non-HID housing remove EVERYTHING from a HID housing (bowl, leveling motor, ballast etc. etc.) and install it into the non-HID housing ?

yea but would probably be cheaper/easier to buy the HID housing
