The trunk lock switch in the dashboard near the sterring wheel,is mine pushed in or not?
As i've only got the valet key, after getting into the trunk via seat removal, there doesn't seem to be an explanation why it isn't working,as i can't even hear the solenoid engaging...
Going to look at buying a whole new lock tomorrow i think

if your trunk button is pushed in and locked, the valet key won't open it.
You will need to have a master key made.
For those with your master key and valet keys. If you look at them, the inside on the master key is a mm smaller.
And I just confirm this by trying my valet key in the trunk lock button.

Get a flat "wallet" key. It works in the locks like a master. It doesn't have a chip in the handle though. It won't start the car but it will get you into the "boot".

Well there are two types of holders out there. One of them has the chip and the other is just plastic. Make sure you get the correct one first. I have heard it both ways. One person said once its programed thats it. The other said he got a used key to use the remote portion only and programed it to his car. So, I'm not sure either way.

I can't remember for sure but I believe the one with the chip is slightly thicker and has some weight to it. You can always just try to program it. It either will or will not work. No harm in giving it a shot.
