Default Is my BUT-O-METER suffering from the placebo effect?

Today when I went to fill up I added a bottle of techron to my fuel. When I left the station and got on the open road I immediately noticed the car pulled more smoothly and it also felt more powerful coming off the line. Before, I had a little hesitation if I got on it from a dead stop and even a little hesitation when it shifted. Today after adding this stuff, no hesitation at all. Is it me, or does this stuff really work?

your injectors mustve been dirty as hell, usually its a mental thing! but for the long run itll eventually free up your injectors a bit.

if you send your injectors in and do this youll prob feel it asap!

Which station do you usually fill it up at?

Silly question: Is the techron fuel injector cleaner heavier or is gasoline is heavier?

I filled up at chevron. The techron is definately heavier than the fuel.

Yeah they are probably pretty bad. Thats the first time I have put injector cleaner in it since I've owned it. It had 136k miles when I bought it , now I'm at 193k miles. I have had my 150k and 180k maintenance done at the dealer. Not sure if injector cleaning was included in either of those.

No it is not included in the services. That is optional, so would have to request it. I figure if you are using gas from Chevron since they do put Techron in the gasoline that would be enough. The fuel cleaner shouldn't be really necessary but looks like it worked well for u.
