What a bargain that battery was- it lasted almost exactly 5 years - same as the warranty.
It was still working, but would not hold a charge over a weekend, so back to WalMart I went to replace it.
Bad news- what the hell has happened to battery prices in 5 years?
The WalMart MAXX-24FS that I just bought to replace my EverStart cost me $80!
The only consolation is that the MAXX line has a 10 year warranty.

Good news- that is exactly what I did 5 years ago, based on your recommendation.
