I "was" trying to achieve this with my efforts but realize that someone will ALWAYS have deeper pockets and put their GS in a higher priority.

I would think that the fastest NA 1UZ GS (exclusive of nitrous) would probably consist of all my mods plus the addition of X-pipe, high-flow cats, perhaps a better exhaust, VB upgrade and engine internal mods (i.e. port, polish heads etc etc).

and to take this even a step further...you can contact Lextreme that BUILD high performance NA 1UZ longblocks in various stages from mild to wild for both NA and FI applications! So, for roughly $8K you can have a new custom built high performance 1UZ motor; stroker kit increase displacement to as much as 4.9L from 4.0/4.3L. The output would probably be around 400-450hp (crank).

GL!

I'm surprised we have numerous members with FI UZ's, but nobody on here with a stroker kit... what gives? I know the turbo or supercharger route gets wild expensive on these V8's, so wouldn't it be a financially... uh ... responsible alternative?

I just feel that NA would be more appropiate for a daily driver and more reliable?

Agreed 100%. IF and it's a BIG IF...I decide to keep my car indefinitely (instead of 2 more years) I will be going the Lextreme route so with a new engine the car will have a longer life as well. FI is nice but a monster NA would be great IMHO...it would be like the displacement and output of the IS-F motor. Except our trannies WILL definitely need to be beefed up as a security measure. So $10-$12K MAX all could be done AND you will be exclusive; not many have done this and none that I know of.
