Default Yes I searched. Transmitter prob.(updated 5/27/10) please raed!!

So Ive been having this issue about a week now. All of a sudden my remoted stopped working. I cant unlock/lock the doors any more. I used the guide found here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-key-help.html, but no luck. I used the transmitter programming guide. I follow all steps, I use the rewrite process, and everything goes accordingly, I get the confirmations right, but somehow it doesnt work!! At first it worked and sometimes it would stop working, and the work again. It doesnt work anymore. Please help.

Btw, I tried bumping an old thread to keep from posting anew one, but some ppl started posting their own questions. And yes I replaced the battery

Update
So I bought a used ecu, and I am able to "program " the key. I get to the final stage where the door locks cycle 1 time, indicating success. I try closing the door, and that should do it, but no COuld it be that I bought a 98-00 ecu? Or could it be that my transmitter itself is damaged? Or maybe a fuse somewhere( I checked and everything is fine)

Please help!

Are you sure all your lock actuators are working ?

I had the same issue with my remote and found out that my driver door's actuator was not working. So when I tried to chirp the car that door would remain unlocked ... causing the ECU to 'see' the car wasn't secure and thus not giving me the beep.

How do you test the actuator? Might sound stupid but have no clue what it is. When I press the luck button on the doors, all doors lock as should. ECU? Im going to look it up in the manual. Please keep the replies coming

I am having a similar problem, even took it to the dealer, they concluded it was, not sure of the name, but a box in the back passenger side pillar, and it costs about $700 just for the part and they couldnt guarantee me that it would work after that. So for now I have no keyless entry
Hope this isnt your problem, if you hit the unlock will they all unlock?

Wont work, peroid. A box in the passenger side pillar, huh? Do you have a name? My car got some air suspension work on it, and that might have had something to do with it. The thing that confuses me, is that when I follow the guide, and press the buttons, the locks move, so I really dont know. I hate opening the door manually. Its kinds embarrassing for me. I have the car on 20's laying out on air, and I have to unlock with the key. I wonder if an aftermarket alarm would take car of this. Can anyone else chime in?

I was told an aftermarket would work, but the only thing is you loose all the factory features, and then it gets real expensive quick trying to add any of the factory features.

yea its basically the cpu for the door locks what everyones talking about on the c-pillar. alot of junk yards has these still in crashed GS's you can prob get one for under 100$ if you do the work yourself and not let the mech. remove it for you.

and the doorlock actuator thing, i just recently replaced my rear passenger door. i started to notice the light didnt beep/blink anymore when i pressed lock one day. couldnt figure out what it was at first till i sat inside the car and kept pressing unlock/lock while looking at everything inside and saw it wasnt locking. if i manually put it in the lock position everything works again but it wont unlock. had that replaced for like 160 something new oem if i remember and everything works perfect again.

Update on this sucker.. It finally bothered me enough, to buy another ECU.. But when I tried programming it, I never got the car to go into program mode. I put my old ecu back, but I was never able to get my car to enter program mode.. Before I had tried to program my car, and it went into program mode. Is there a fuse that I might have blown somewhere? I tried looking in the manual but no luck.
