I did, retrofitted it on a 99 GS300.

It`s awesome, so what did you have to replace?
Gearshift assembly and wiring
Dash cluster
e-shift wheel
and ECU from e shift car ?? or no ecu was needed?

I'm hoping someone else will chime in on this to either confirm or correct what I've found, but I know there are 2 wires going through the back of the steering wheel that have to be run to where the two corresponding pins are on the ECM on a car that did not originally have e shift. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the console shifter is essentially the same, just one says "M" and one says "4". the instrument cluster has to be changed to accomodate the gear indicator, but the e-shift will technically function in 4/M with the original cluster. If one can find the parts out of an early '01 GS, then the 2 stage airbag thing is not an issue. Not sure if the harness at the back of the steering wheel will work or not though with the early 01, or if something needs to be changed. Everything that I've read on the ECM is that they are essentially the same, there is just nothing run to the 2 pins for "shift up" or "shift down".

Another late post. The stereo controls are ONLY 01-05 and won't fit right on a 98-00. You would have to fab your own bracket and make sure the harness is from an 01-05.
