Default Need guru help ASAP on power steering pump replacement

I just removed the power steering pump.

There is a sending unit and a coller that needs to come off the old unit.

I cannot for the life of me get this thing to turn.

It is a sending unit wit a wire feeing into the back of it and has a large 21 or 22 mm hex on the end. i don't have a wrench that large, but even with a good pair of adjustable i cannot get that thing to budge. is it reverse threads or is there a secret?

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated, i need to finish this thing tonight.

Thanks in advance,

Joel

No it did not. I was able to remove the unit finally.
It is a 32 mm socket. I had to cut the wires for the sending unit.
After I removed it and installed it on the new one, I solderd and heat shrak the conections.

Everything is working fine. My bearing was going bad and it sounded aweful.

Now my baby is quiet once again.

Gotta love the 'workaround'
