Default Does the GS400 have a MPG computer?

I can't find a button to bring up MPG on our 99 GS400. I would guess that car surely has a MPG function. Does it? If so, where and how to pull it up? It does not have the nav package.

Probably better that way. Why ruin the fun watching it when you are having fun driving it hard?! LOL.

I've got a ScanGuage sitting on my dash. It gives just about any info you want, including mileage, dist to empty, as well as stuff like rpm, battery voltage, rpm, etc.

x2 on the ScanGauge.

It let me know my alternator wasn't 100%, even before the car gave warning lights and I fixed it before breaking down.

OMG, a couple years ago I spent a full day tracing wires and tapping into them to put a trip computer into a Honda Pilot. This would have been so much easier!!! I'm going buy the ScanGauge II. Not bad price and so easy to install. For those who never heard of this, like me until now, here are some things it can display:

Display Horsepower
O2 Sensor Values
Air to Fuel Ratio
Barometric Pressure
Catalyst Temperature
Maximum Speed
Average Speed
Maximum Coolant Temperature
Maximum RPM
Driving Time
Driving Distance
Fuel Used
Trip Fuel Economy
Distance to Empty
Time to Empty
Fuel to Empty
Fuel Economy
Fuel Rate
Battery Voltage
Coolant Temperature
Intake Air Temperature
Engine Speed (RPM)
Vehicle speed (MPH)
Manifold Pressure (not available on some vehicles)
Engine Load
Throttle Position
Ignition Timing
Open/Closed Loop
Reads Trouble Codes
Reads conditions that set the Trouble Code
Clears Trouble Codes
Turns off the "Check Engine" light
Tells you when vehicle is "Ready" to pass OBDII testing
Make and store up to 10 rewritable special codes
to send to the vehicle computer

I could use one of these.

I just hit just over 34mpg average on a small trip. 564 miles on 16.5 gallons (100% Non-Ethanol 93 Octane), mostly @ 62mph.

+1 PilotSmith, excellent point, who really cares about gas economy in a Lexus?

Wow. 4 people weigh 550 lbs, that's an average of 137 lbs each. I don't think I know 4 people that could stay under 700 here in cornfed Kentucky. We are up on the fattest states list though.
