get the blue..........i have it and i love it, its not something u c every day and when u put chromy's it stands out even more ....the tan lex is boring...and when u put chromy's on it its still boring, but u will have the power to pull the 20's (if u decide thats what u want) with the v8 , where as u'll notice big time the drag with the v6 with 20's , it happened to me i noticed a big diff but i don't care 4 speeding a lot just looking sweet , so go with the blue.

Wait!!!
If you have no strict time frame to purchase a car, I would keep your search going until you find the car with every major option you want on it. I searched all over the country for the engine, colors and Nav. and price for 4-5 months and I got everything I wanted as my first choice in my own town.
Be patient and diligent and I am sure things will work out to your liking.
Half the fun is in the hunt and the second half is laying long, dark and smokey burnouts from the rear wheels of that GS400.
Go with a GS400 !!

You can't go wrong
Get the Spectra Blue GS. You can get a SRT turbo if ya want power later. 450 HP rwhp. The reason being the color is SSOOOOOO nice! I still remember clearly at the 1st NY CLub Lexus MEET. Everyone had already met up & talking. We all see from a distance a bunch of GS's rolling our way. Out of the pack we all see a beautiful sparkling mettallic SPECTRA BLUE GS- HOTLEX400 member
Everyone was like hey look at that blue one. REALLy nice WOW.
The paint on this guys car is awesome. You could tell this guy took really good care of his GS. His car still looks like it just came out of the factory into the showroom.
Absolutely awesome bro. My favorite colors for GS are
1) Black- Presence & styling
2) Silver- very classy
3) Spectra Blue- Flat out Beautiful
4) White- nice & clean
Oh yeah & Graphite- very Nice Marlin Blue is real nice too.

wwest, both of the comments that you made are 2 of the most rediculous posts that I have read on any car forum.
First off to classify a GS400 as a "boy racer car" is just off the wall. I dont know about in your town, but I think in most places you would be talking about a Neon or Civic, etc. to be placed in that category. I just dont see the Lexus engineers sitting around trying to build a car to market to todays youth, and coming out with the GS4 as a result.
You just changed the definition of boy racer cars, hmmm, heres a few more,
Audi A8, Benz S class, CLK 430, Volkswagen W8, and dont forget those kids in their damn V8 Caddy's!!!
As far as the power goes, most car enthusiats share the "there can never be too much" attitude, wether its actually being put to use or not. Just to know its there when you need it is a plus in itself!
I think you stumbled onto the wrong forum my man!
But hey, everyone is entitled to his or hers own opinion, O geuss!

ARB, get the 400!!! I do not know what sane person that currently drives a 300 would reccomend the same car, when the option of a 400 exists. The GS needed a stronger engine every since 93, trust me, I have 20" wheels on my 96 GS, and its a sponge between 0-50mph. Also, that beige color has a very clean and classy look to it, just add nice wheels, tint, suspension, and lighting to make it stand out. Also remember the 1000 bucks you would save on the 300 would not be enough to come close to a 400(performace wise). I saw a post that said take the 1000 dollars and buy a turbo kit, if anyone out there has a 1000 dollar turbo kit for a lexus, SEND ME 3 OF THEM!!! It is much easier to get a 400 and add HIDs, and a flip out screen with navigation, since your gonna buy new wheels anyway, who cares about the stock 16s. Conversely if you buy that 300, you will have to modify the motor, which leads to modding the tranny, which leads to modding the differential, motor mounts etc, then 10 thousand bucks down the line, you finally have a 400 beater.
Lastly, why the hell is everyone slamming each other on this board?? I think all of you should look up the word OPINION in the damn dictionary. I always say that opinions are like A**HOLES, we all have one! If someone thinks a GS4 is a ricer car, so be it (although I hope that persons daily driver is a Maybach 62!!!) This is a forum for modified cars, not a congressional hearing on national defense, all of you "aggressive" people, get your girl, get in your Lexus, and go out for nice drive!! Calm the hell down
