...so wtf should I do now? LOL.

I had to ghetto rig it and use pliers to pull it to open the hood. anyone have a good solution to this?? a lot of people seem to have a lot of issues closing, but not opening...

cut the wire and rethread it through the handle again...

I had the same problem...if you didn't break the end of the hood wire that clips unto the latch then just put it back in. If you look at the hood lever, inside of it there are 2 screw (can't remember if its 2 or just 1 screw) holding the lever in place. Just unscrew it with a 4 head and take the hood latch out and put the wire back in and screw it back in place. I had this happen to me and for the longest time i couldn't figure out what to do.

did you stretch the wire or did it come loose? I think we can run a new wire if you can find one. I have tools in my garage that we can get the job done

I had the same problem to my car, good thing it was still under the Certified Lexus warranty, if I remember correctly, they changed out the wire and the little tab underneath the hood also.

i think it just got really stretched for some reason.

I took it apart like nikecian said (thanks for the input btw), and just made the wire shorter. Works now, but I may have made it too short...it releases it with about half the pulling I had to do
