You might just want to tie that thing down intill someone come out to check your car. Get as much as you can for it since your going the insurance route.

Take a metal hanger and tie that thing up. Save your cash for the deductible.

Good call on both counts.

You didn't say whether or not a police report was filed. It will go a long way with the insurance company if you did. And even with a $1K deductible, it's going to be cheaper than paying out of pocket and like I said - if they give you too much hassle about future rates, you can move to a different company.

thats why we have car insurance for. have your car fix it right by the insurance company or get an half azz job somewhere. btw, start looking for another insurance company online.

Just claim it on your bro's insurance for both counts. To fix his car and to fix your car. That way you guys only pay the deductable once. That way only one person's insurance rates will go up instead of both

I'm not sure how old you are but if you're on a family plan insurance, that will make a big difference if 2 drivers have raised premiums.

yea, I ended up telling them what really happened... i looked into it and I was able to get my car covered by my insurace ... im taking it by the shop tomorrow morning ... hopefully they get started on it this week...

cool....atleast you'll have some fresh paint. some A-HOLE decided he didnt like my door at the grocery store the other day and ran his key over it a few times. awesome, just awesome!

yea,just found out i wont be needing it... im getting insurance to cover the cost ... estimated repair cost is at 9k... and estimated time will be 20 days to get my car back...
