Default Anyone have quad tips on stock mufflers?

I miss the look of quad tips that I had on my M5. Without having to get a new bumper, I am thinking about taking off the mufflers, cutting the tips off and welding on some dual tips on each muffler. Only problem is that there is only about 5 inches in clearance. And trying to find dual tips this small is tough....and without actually seeing it, it may look like ***.

I like the stock exhaust, nice and quiet....just want to see if it would be worth it to try some quads.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

yeah tough call, possible but hard to execute. i did consider looking into some with 'squashed' inside edges if you know what i mean. So they're like

(_||_) type of deal hahah like 2 half ovals and flat in the centre. so you get duals but with an overall OD closer to single. Just a thought...

I think the real question is, will quad tips (in the OD you have in mind) fit with the stock bumper without much modification. I don't know if it would look so clean if you had to enlarge the exhaust cutout by using a dremel.

The cleanest execution I've seen of quad tips on a 2GS is on SoCalSC4's (Bob) car, but he has an aftermarket exhaust and bumper.

I think that a new rear bumper might help with achieving your look.

Why lot look into finding a pair of used m3 mufflers/with tips from some one on an m3 list that upgraded? Take them to a muffler shop and have them align and weld it on and if you need to dremel out the bumper cut outs a little. It seems the m3 mufflers would be high quality sounds wise and performance wise.
