Default Check Engine Light

Hi all.. I have a 2000 GS300 and the check engine light was on. I took it for a computerized diagnostic check and they told me that I needed the fuel injectors cleaned and to change the air filter on my cold air intake. I did both and the light stayed off for a month.. now as of yesterday it is back on!! They had said that there were no other problems... Any ideas before I have to spend $$$ that I don't have? Thanks

go to autozone.. they scan the Check Engine Light (CEL) for free... post the codes up here... my guess is your CAI is a POS and your MAF is working right... welcome to the forum.

If you paid for this diagnostic check go back and have them give you a print out or at the least a list of the DTC they pulled from your car. If you did not pay either take the Autozone route mentioned above or do one better and buy yourself a OBDII scan tool so you can pull the DTC's yourself anytime you Check Engine Light comes on.

Autozone or Advance Auto Parts is so easy. They can even clear the codes for you. It's free. Get the codes, report here, and we'll see what they are.
