So heres the story: I was cruising back to school, rural area. Blasting some music. Hit the tracks a bit fast and suddenly all speaker sound stops. The headunit is definitely powered, but there is no audio, not even faint. So far I have done the following:
-Turn car off/on
-Turn audio off/on
-Inspected amplifier, I did not notice any loose connections or foul smells/signs of 'frying'
Iam at a loss here guys...what else can i try?
Would replacing the amplifier be easy with stock speakers?
now i will try to inspect the headunit, since i had the dash out to remove wood trim.

UPDATE - Fuse was blown. Replaced using the spare fuse in the box. Whole assembly untouched, totally preserved OEM stuff that really made me all happy lol. Turned stereo on, no sound, just totally functioning. Fuse was blown again. In the past few weeks I had all the door panels off to remove the wood in order to paint for my interior project (thats another post soon to come, ive been here a while but economic prosperity has allowed me to really start modding.) Anyway, during reassembly of the panels, I find it possible that a wire was clipped/pinched? possibly causing a short, making the fuse blow. Please people, just try and help its kind of tough doing electrical stuff for the first time, I WILL SOLVE THIS. Also, the rear bench portion of the seat is out, and was out when the sound stopped (when i hit the tracks, see OP) possibly aiding the shortage because i know some wires must have been exposed under the seat for the speakers. any help or ideas please guys, whatever you got.
