The high beams are used as DRL and I have them disabled. The 194 wedge bulb lights up with your low beams at night.

I have a set of PIAA's in my High Beams, and I have never had any problems. To be honest they are the same bulbs that I pulled from my stolen GSR two years ago. I've had the same set of bulbs for 11 years now!
