Default You'll never guess what I saw this weekend

I had to drive to Denver for a job interview and It was a really long drive with all the bad weather and my 20s on my gs400. I arrived there friday night and went out to eat with my good friend at Hops in Aurora. Sitting in the parking lot on a semi-trailer were 2 very tiiiight cars.....an 02 Pearl Escalade with 23" Momos and it looked like it had other work done to it... and sitting on the front was what looked like a Black 98-00 Gs400 with 20s lowered and modified with exhaust. The rims were knockoffs(kaotiks) But it looked nice!!! We went and looked at the plates and they were from Texas. I assume whoever just moved to Denver. It was weird to see another gs400 with 20's.....Oh well

Wow... I live in Denver and I have yet to see *1* GS with anything larger than 18s. I have seen a black 'high end' pickup with 20"+ wheels (they were huge), escalades, lx470s, excursions, expeditions, jeep cherokees all running around on 20"+ wheels.

I saw a GS4 the other day down my street with 20-inch chrome L-Sportline Model 2s. It was mindbaffling since all the other dozens upon dozens of GSes in town ride on the stock alloy 17s.

I guess here in the Diry South, the competition between cars is a lot higher---i've seen about 4-5 GS's with 20's here. And that is only in Tampa!!!

Tell me about it. I used to feel special. But now its like I'm just like every one else. And my 20's look small compared to whats coming out. My neighbor just bought 22's for his tahoe. And the guy down the street bought his son some (you might want to sit down) 24's for the kids Denali. I couldn't even imagine mounting/balancing a 24 inch rim. Can you imagine how heavy they are? When I was in Daytona for Spring Break Nationals there was a white escalade on 23's towing a diamond plated trailer with a white Hayabusa with an extended frame and all but the best part was the trailer had matching 20's

I was in Tallahassee this weekend...It was FAMU alumni weekend or something or another....All i know is where ever i went i saw cars with Rims, normally chrome wires, and cops every where...They were dicks to these people....I went to a mall, and cops were kicking people out of their cars for loitering in the parking lot...They said they had to come in or leave....At night, on every corner a cop had pulled over a car....I think it was racial profiling, cause as soon as the people left, the cops stopped harassing people. I know this girl who wanted to go to the mall but the cops wouldnt let her saying it was "too dangerous for a girl" inside....

Anyway i saw this Expedition with 20" wires, trailing an atv with 18-20" matching wires, with a trailer with 20" wires....I also saw a lot of nice convertible cars from the 60's, prolly caddies and impalas....

Yeah, I heard the cops were tripping in Tallahasee for Kappa Lui (I was supposed to go but I did not make it)....

22", 23", and 24" on a tahoe/Deanli/Escalade is still a Silverado with a camper with some big wheels. played out already if you ask me. How hard is it to add some wheels to these things. Then the brakes look so small it is silly.

I do see more GS's around with rims (usually that is it) but hey, it's 2002, the GS was being sold fall of 97!

Talk about played out. I've seen hundreds of explorers, and expeditions on 20" wires. Your better off saving your $$$ until you have enough to get some nicer wheels if you want to be original, but to each his own I guess.
