Default Rolling Fenders?

I'm looking at a set of wheels 19x8.5+18 fronts and 19x9.5+18 backs. Will these fit a 2001 GS without rolling or cutting the fenders? If it does how much does it rub? Thanks.

DUDE dont DO IT!!!! You'll be fine. I just got a set of 20 inch rims put on and got my fenders rolled. I didn't think i needed it, but the guy talked me into it and I went ahead with it. anyway it looks awful, the place that did the job hacked it up. I have to take it back to the place that did it and they need to take it to a body shop to get the dents out. Definitely not worth the trouble. DON'T DO IT!!!!!

Thanks for the replies. But will these size wheels fit WITHOUT rolling or cutting the fenders? How aggressive is +18 offset?

19x8.5+18 fronts and 19x9.5+18 backs

It depends who you ask . But those are more aggressive than the standard GS offsets. You will need fender mods to fit these, but it will be worth it.

I had my 22's on for a year before I cut/trimmed my fenders and I only did so cause I went to bags In a lot of cases, fender trimming/rolling is really only for the "just in case" issues and not because its needed. Unless you had your fender wells measured and asked for a custom offset to fit the whole darn well, its for the "in case"

oh and I cut and pinched mine after cutting them I got a pair of pliers (with a rag on paint side) and went inch by inch squeezing the little piece left and did no damage.

mate it all depends on tyre size and ride height/camber. these things make a HUGE difference.

those offsets are quite aggressive but then you are running 1/2" less width than most people tend to run, hence that has to be accounted for. So your rims are the equivalent of 9" +24 and 10" +24. This fitment is mildly aggressive but not crazy.

I'll speak for my set-up. i have 19x9 +27 19x10 +24. I have approx -2.5 camber all round. i have 235/35 tyres front and 245/35 rear. Front is mild stretch, rear is reasonably aggressive stretch. I am tucking about 1/2 the tyre in the rear and the top bit of tread in the front.

My guards are rolled both front and rear. They're rolled about 1/2 as small as stock, basically kind of rolled over onto themself like a U shape. Both front and rear the paint flaked under the lip where it was rolled, but i just touched it up. Fronts rolled fine, no issue. Rears have *very slight* dimpling that is only really noticealbe in certain light when really looking for it.

Shaving off the lip is definately the neater solution, but i couldnt do it here in Australia for legality purpose (weakens the panel). in reality its not a biggie at all, so if you can do this i'd recommend it.

however, if you want to roll, just make sure they use a proper roller, heat the paint well and go slow. Dont tell them to roll the **** out of it, just give the wheel and tyre to the place and get them to roll just as much as is necessary. Your guards will need work but you can get away with a roll and it can be done and it shouldnt be too hard.

as for tyres for you, i'd recommend 225/35 front and 235/35 rear. (since you're narrower rims than me).

GL mate, and dont be scared off cause if you're anything like me you'll be wanting more offset and lower ride heights within a few months hahah
