Default What a shotgun does to a GS...

Pics of the shotgun blasts to my poor GS. It'll be in the shop on the 6th of May, so I have to drive around with my baby in a state of disrepair for another 2 weeks.

I wrote about it in a thread about a week ago. I was at a party in a relatively nice neighborhood at a friend of a friend's house. It apparently was just some random vandals...saw a bunch of cars, mine happened to be the nicest one there. They threw something on the hood too, which I didn't post a pic of. Basically, $6k to fix it all. Almost everything will be replaced as opposed to bondoed and patched. Roughly 60% of the car will be repainted. You can't see fromt he photos, but there was shotgun spray all down the side, little scratches, etc. Like I said, random and completely unnecessary...f$#kin haters.

That's really a sorry sight to see. I read your original post about how it happened.

Totally UN nessesary.

Complete Bull*****.

Classic case of "the have's" vs. "the have-nots". " and "If I can't have that -neither can you" mentality.

1Sick - that's why it's $6k to fix. I took it to the local "super duper luxury fix-it-so-well-the-dealership-can't-tell" shop. They do all sorts of high end stuff there, and luckily, they are a preferred shop for my insurance company so they signed off on it with no problem.

I asked the guy doing the inspection if they did body kits and his reply was "Normally we don't because most of the time it's kids bringing in crap kits that don't fit to put on crappy civics. I personally won't touch those kinds of cars." Needless to say, I knew I had the right place.

Well, for what it's worth, at least you're getting what you've been paying for in insurance since 98'.

BTW, make sure you get 01 stuff! (grill, lights) Might as well since they're replacing parts anyway

Also, ask to keep the old replaced parts (like the left rear light, somebody on the board was looking for one and you might help a fellow member out

NVMYGS3 - Actually, all rear-lights were cracked...it's hard to see in the pictures, but they will all be replaced. Essentially, the entire rear-end is being replaced: new trunk, spoiler, bumper, and all lights. Anything they're taking off isn't salvageable, at least in my opinion. Then again, there might be someone somewhere that wants that "shot-up gangsta" look...

Unreal. I read your story, but it's nothing compared to seeing the pictures...
