Question Sports Design black wood price??

Has anyone looked into getting the black wood? What's the cost from Lexus?

Looked into it with SG about 2 weeks ago - cost prohibitive to say the least; you have to order the full door panels, not just the wood pieces.

If I remember correctly, it wouldbe upwards of $2k total for everything....

What is the deal with the Lexus parts??? Seems like it started with the chrome shifter ring, now the wood trim... seems like you can't get any piece without buying the whole damn system it belongs to. That's total BS in my book. Did Lexus realize they actually have a group of enthusiasts out here and decide to gouge us? Next thing you know, you'll go in to buy an new shift ****, and you'll have to buy the whole tranny to go with it... although for the price Lexus wants for just the **** you would already think you were paying for a tranny.
Sorry for the rant, but come on, I want the little wood trim piece and I have to buy the door panel

I started a thread about the after market wood kits but it still doesn't solve your problem for the pieces in the door. Here is a link to my thread.

That's the way toyota works, they don't think that many people will change their lexus parts and also its not that easy to sell individual pieces of 1 whole part. Sometimes they can't get it from the manufacture that makes the actual part.

Toyota's always been like this, that's why I don't want to drop big $ on door panels. But I have to have the look

Thanks
