quick question on the rear fender

Default quick question on the rear fender

OK so i trimmed/cut my fenders awhile back and left about 2mm of fender lip or watever left.. my question is say i were to get more aggressive rims.. is it possible to still pull my fenders??

Depends how much you want to pull. If it's like 5mm it should be fine. Dunno about more than that.

i would say roll the rest of that lip up towards the quarters. and then u can pull

Keeping 3 or 4 mm of lip is just about right for maintaining the strength enough to pull.

I'll pm you a local member who has done it successfully. One of the best pulls I've seen.

anyone ever used this product to roll fenders? it supposed to be better than most normal methods but for 315 ouch....

i have seen that tool alot nicer than a baseball bat lol the old guys will know about the baseball bat method not very good method but worked back in the day.

yeah its made to be easier to use than the baseball bat. just wondered if anyone had used it?

That thing is meant to roll the fenders, not pull them.

Pulling the quarters on the rear of the GS is difficult because you are dealing with more than one thickness of steel. We pulled mine a little, but I would only recommend this if you are into repainting. That region is so stiff that you really can't pull it much and not create ripples.

i know its meant to roll and not pull, but wont it still work for the rear?

plus i wondered if anyone has used it.

that roller is a ripoff of the eastwood roller which is cheaper,

I've rolled and pulled mine and was forced to repaint it because they dimpled, since I was running 19x10s with a -1 offset, I did a very aggressive pull.
