my girls 1998 gs would not start after she cut it off today. she called me and told me what happened and said that she thought it was out of gas because the hand was on empty. she put 8 gallons in but the hand is still on empty. yesterday the tail lights went out but was working this morning. the fuel pump isn't running and the fuel guage going from empty to quarter tank. can anyone help me with this before i get it towed. i wanted to check the fuel pump but dont know which wires.

no luck getting the car started and had to call the tow truck. the tow truck driver told me to take it out of gear and it would not come out. i had to use the safety switch and the battery had a full charge.

hmm... i'm going to give this one a shot.

1. reset your ecu.
2. check for fuel at the injectors
3. check that your terminals are properly connected.

anything else, hit me back up.

if you mean disconnect the battery then i did that and nothing i will try to check the injectors asap. there was a topic that i responded to yesterday with someone having the exact problem that i have and now its gone. i even sent a private message and now it says 0 in messege sent did i break a forum rule or something.

It might be your fuel pump it may be disconnected or the sensor this happened to me my fuel pump was disconnected and i have no idea how that happened
