I bought an intake for my 99 GS300 and installed it today. Hooked up all hoses, maf, everything. I went to turn on the car and as soon as I did, my RPM went up to 1200 then to 200 and my engine started shaking. I tried turing on and off the car but same thing happened. Then I disconnected the batt (hoping to reset the ecu) and tried again. This time, the same thng happened but I decided to drive it around and let the ecu "get to know" the intake. After a few laps around the block,its acting normal now. Is it safe to drive? Are my worries over? Or should I switch back to stock? Anyone experince this before?

Did you install it properly? When you disconnect the battery and the ecu is reset, it does that first time you start the car, but should go away after first time.

I'm 99.99% I installed it correctly. All hoses are hooked up and everything. Yea, it did go away, its fine now, I just wanted to know if i'm okay to drive or will it hurt anything. I think I should be fine though

Its not a particular brand. I wanted to try this one out and switch to maybe a weapon R or something
