sorry i didnt mention it wasnt for gs it was for my bimmer becoz i ordered the key from germany and i paid around 250$
lexus must be lot cheaper.............................faster.
It seems to me like calling a locksmith would be the way to go, but then again there must be a reason that you haven't just because it seems like a no-brainer. Locksmith can be there much faster than going to a dealership and ordering a key.
What did you end up doing? Really though 10 days? I know that if you call and give them your vin, they can cut a new key for you, you will have to program it yourself, or pay the fee...

I ordered another key. They had to special order one for me, took a day to arrive. They cut it for me in about 15 minutes because Keyes Lexus Van Nuys has a key cutting machine at the dealership. Some other dealerships need to send the key out to get cut so it may take an extra day, but in total you are looking at a 3 day max wait. So it is faster than BMW, but cheaper? Far from it. A master key (like the original key) is around $300 plus tax (includes programming) and a valet key (will only open doors and turn on the car) is around $150 (including programming). This is what I learned from the whole experience. Price may vary by a few dollars from dealership to dealership, but this is the average. Hope this helped
