okay heres an update

heres my man, steve. doing work son.

took em off the car to paint the mufflers. so i drove around today with no mufflers. sounds very very nice
straight6 FTW!

after a good scrub

im not gonna polish them like Dara did. so i painted them with a chrome paint i had lying around. if it doesnt look good installed, imma paint em flat black instead.

it kinda sucks cuz fitments off.
my car was rear ended right at the muffler on my left side. the accident pushed my muffler in, so now one of my tips is out more than the other........
soo sad

? Why didnt/dont you just pull the left tip out so it will match the other or cut the right tip from the back so you can push it in to match the other? Its a simple fix

Yea, surprisingly looks great with paint. What kind of paint did you use? Is it a high temp? wondering if it will burn or burn off. In any event I've been planing on doing this for a while, but never though about sanding it down like the other or painting them, good thread!

sanding down wouldnt be too hard. I used a wire brush and it got like half of the oem black stuff off. the hard part is sanding where the tip extends out. hard to get into the crevices and junk
