Default I agree

The wood steering wheel really sets the car apart.

Here is a link to a previous thread with pictures.

Right on time I already called and got some pricing but I didnt have a steering wheel. But my man at the Lexus shop gave me a LS400 wheel to use when I send the wheel away. So I am definately in.

Ok folks, let's see what kinda group we have...

If you are interested in this deal, please read the following carefully...

1) the job will cost UNDER $400 plus some shipping. I am working to get the price as low as possible so I need some info from you guys...

2) EMAIL ME (at gs430@mac.com) the year/model of your Lexus, the color of your interior and PLEASE SPECIFY if you have a "special" model like Platinum or Coach.

3) Let me know via that email if you MUST have a loaner wheel.

4) We may need to stagger the group buy (depending on how many people need steering wheels)...so everyone who's in on the deal will need to pay upfront so that we can guarantee the prices.

5) I am also considering offering a core trade in program where you get a replacement steering wheel instead of your original back. It will cost a little more (not sure how much, can't even give you a ball park at this point) but you won't be out of a steering wheel (or you won't have do a double install/removal like the loaner program)...let me know via your email if you are interested in this option.

6) If you have already done this converstion and you have a spare steering wheel laying around, please let me know if you're willing to donate or sell it to us for use in this group buy.

That's all the info I have until next week, thanks!

the wood wheel looks nice but when i had a 2002 es300 as a loaner, i hated it. it had the grooves on the back like the plastic one on my mohers honda.
i love the leather

Manaray,

Just to make sure (please bear with me for a sc), we take the steering wheel off, they hold it for 7-10 days, then ship us back the steering wheel with the wood on.

That's cool for me but I've never taken a steering wheel off and I dunno if it's hard or not and frankly, that airbag scares the crap out of me.

Anyway, even for those like me who live in LA, is your shop LA based or somewhere else. If it were, I'd rather just leave my car there
