I'd be interested but man, that labor to get the orig steering wheel off and the airbag mounted would be a killer

I've tried it already. The conversion takes about 2 weeks, so while the steering wheel is off your car, you're out of car.

The removing of steering wheel is kind of streight forward. But you may need a puller to pull it out.

The GS is my daily drive, I can not afford to go 2 weeks without it. That's why I haven't done it yet

I'm interested in the group buy. How much and who would make it?

Don't bother calling them...I've already contacted them and I have a group buy deal in progress with them. I will be posting information on it soon. I am also working on doing a low cost steering wheel "loaner" program for ClubLexus members only.

I am going to find out how many different steering wheels I need in order to cover everyone interested (shouldn't be too many since many will interchange)

The price to have your steering wheel changed to wood with the leather redone (new leather) is under $400. I am going to finalize prices with them.

Default sounds good

Sounds good. The sooner the better. I have another vehicle, so a steering wheel for me is not necessary. Just let us know when it is ready to go.

Sounds interesting.. Would they put the Lexus Symbol on the airbag too like how the 2001+ cars are done??

Default Nope

Only the steering wheel gets sent back. You have to remove and keep the airbag

Do you still have e-shift buttons with the wood steering wheel? How is the quality? Any pictures?

Default yes

Yes, you retain the eshift. I would not trade that feature in for anything. Do a search, some pictures were posted from this company. It looked pretty good

I think this would be a much better investment than the 01 tails...although I do like them.

Here is an idea...everyone pays up front...then send them in staggered like so they won't be overwhelmed by 10 wheels at once...unless they can knock out that kind of pace but I'd rather they take the time than try to pump them all out.

GOOOO MIKE!

Late.
