I replaced my upper control 12/13/2008 both parts and labor was covered by the extended warranty i purchased with the car in 2005.

You can also try Ebay. I not too long got both L&R upper UCA brand new for around $200 for my LS400... Make sure the seller is legit and do some research on the brand to see if other GS owners used/recommend it. So far I have no problem with my Ebay UCA (knock on wood).

i put in my order to these guys for the driver side UCA last week. i havent received it yet but i think the delay is cuz i'm in Canada.

*edit* just checked the tracking#. the part is currently in customs right now. so i guess its on its way.
FYI i paid USD$344 for the oem driver side UCA
