Well one of the things in a couple of the threads I read on this is that if you have access to a device that will allow you to change the parameters, you can do it. Also, some were able to just get the relay off a '98 GS (which doesnt have DRL's) and that was able to take care of it as well. Now that you bring up that ecu mod, I wonder if that too can be done with powering the amp as we were speaking of in the other thread.

 

98's don't have DRL's? i had a 98 GS300 it definetly had DRL's

 

you may THINK you did, but it doesnt. I thought the same thing until I got bombarded and crapped on for thinking so I thought that that little bulb in the middle was the drl's but it wasnt.

 

Yes, I think Jokster is right, i'm like 99% sure that 98's don't come with DRLs, unless it was built it was built for Canada as DRLs were mandatory since like 95' or 96'. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

1. It has been awhile since this came up but some of the earlier 99s did not have DRLs. I cannot remember if there was a consensus as to what the changeover date was.

2. The previous owner modded it to be off.
