Frustrated! Car dying again while driving! Battery?
#19
honestly everyone is right about it being the alternator , but i just had the same issue for the past few weeks, and which just happened last night , but this morning i just put in a new interstate battery , and its been running on point since, so i guess in my case it was the battery , but yet it was dying while running soo its possible that it can be your battery....

^^^maxinGS, your new battery is just going to drain out and your still going to have the same problem. Right now all it is doing isrunning on the battery and the alternator is not charging it while driving. If you run your system and have HIDs on while driving it will draing even faster. Happen to me last night

Finally Fixed!!! (Two weeks ago)
After 2 High Output Alternators (returned with full amount except shipping back). Also, I rewound my current alternator the problem was an aftermarket lowest pulley that previous owner had changed to make the car lighter by a whopping 15lbs which didn't make any difference. The inner part where the drive belt locks in with the tread was slipping and not charging alternator fast enough.
Also, the black throttle was a little rusty so just sprayed some throttle bottle cleaner and all was fixed.
Luckily I had the OEM pulley and just replaced it.
So after atleast 10 hours and $200 worth of installation shipping and headaches car runs perfect now.

Crazy, this just happen to me yesterday when i was going home from work. It would turn off my radio than my car when i'm at a stop though, but when i'm driving it's all gravy till i'm at a stop.
Might be...
I install a new set of HID bulbs on monday night. (which was 2 days ago) Drove my car to work, it seem fine. Going home... The trouble started. I was at a stop light, than out of no where the radio turns off. than the car. It might be my battery. I have an old battery that i been meaning to change. I leave the lights and the radio on for like about 30 - 60 mins. The car battery is out. So that might be my situation. I'm going to get a new battery today and see how that goes.

Yea, yesterday i replace a new battery. I tried reversing it and it turn off my radio.... Than, i tried putting it on drive. It barely wanted to pull my car. I push on the peddle and it was moving slowly... Now, i think it's a different situation. Let me know if you guys have any clue?
