Yes the dealer can change your setting where all doors unlocked when you stopped the car and shifted into park. The default is OFF, so you need the dealer to turn it on. Checkout the attached:

This falls into the category of Lexus "C best" or "personalized" settings. There are quite a few options you can change using the Toyota/Lexus scan tool. The dealer can do this for you, and they will probably charge you 1/2hr. labor. Unfortunately unless you have access to a dealership scanner, you have to take it to the service department. You should ask to go over it with the technician so you can see what features you can customize. Your best bet is to try to nab a technician outside and ask him if he wants to make an extra $20. I know I always appreciate a tip.

yeah, they quoted me 1/2 hr labor. which locally is 100 a hour, so 50.
as far as the tech's, i dunno many techs who would even entertain this.
lets see......getting fired if caught over a $20 tip..... i know 2 local guys and they wont do ANY sidework, period, none for them

I guess my set up is slightly different. I work in a separate building from managers, things like that can easily be done. Side jobs are not a problem....off the clock at least. Depends on the place I suppose. Also, if you have a good repour with the service department, or a specific service writer....next time you are in for service just ask if they could change that one setting for you. It's not a time consuming thing, they may just do it for free.

Attached is the complete list of customizable features on the 01 GS.
You might as well have all the features you like customized at the same time -- might not cost any more than having only one changed. I had several settings on my 00 LS changed a few years back by an indie Lexus repair shop that had been open about 10 years by then. They're a busy shop but I was told that I was the first person who had ever asked to have CBES/LPS changed. We give them a lot of work and have sent them numerous customers. They changed my CBES/LPS for free.
