Default HID Wannabee

Check my posting in the RX forum regarding the result of changing out the HB4/9006 bulb in my wife's RX. This is applicable to non-HID GS and other vehicles.

Which PIAA bulbs? Last time I checked around, the SuperPlasmas (5k temp) were ~$90.

BTW, whitels, thanks for doing the write up and pics; both are great and very informative; I think I'll be trying these Razos in the near future.

I really did not pay attention to the brands of various bulbs that I tested so I can't say for sure if PIAAs were there. There were I think 8 test bulbs, each one hooked up to its own switch and light bouncing off a white surface so you can compare. There were at least 3 others that approximate the HID color temperature but in my view, the RAZO was the closest or I should say whitest (as I was looking for the whitest).

Oh, this store that I bought it from, also has a website. Dang, it's cheaper on the web but with delivery and sales tax (california), it is close but still cheaper. On the web, they sell for $59.99. It's www.autofreak.net

Those guys going to Costa Mesa to buy the hyper rev aristo #69, check out the auto boutique and look for the light test panel I am talking about. I want to know your opinion.
