Engine replacement???
ive posted this before but now im actually close to having the money together to do something about my car. im not really looking to go fast but im open to all suggestions. should i rebuild the factory GE, buy a GTE, ive toyed with the idea of swapping a gs4 motor in. gotta love the sound of a v8. what would you do in my position. keeping in mind its my daily driver. all suggestions are welcome.

Agreed, LS motors for the win. LSx was a term used to reference the LS motor family, now there is a LSX block. Any of them or all of them would be a good choice. I think it is safe to say that it is pointless to take the I6 and swap a V8 when there are so many GS4s already around you know? As a matter o'fact, I personally own a 430 and debated swapping in a GTE, but now with the option of putting in a LS motor, is it really a question...? I love the JZ family motors, and would give both nuts for a Supra, but if your going through the work of swapping why not open the world of cheap aftermarket parts for your American V8? One important question, are you doing the work yourself or having a shop do it? Any thoughts?
