That just means your fluid is low MEANING your brakes are close to ready to be changed or you just need fluid. As your pads wear down, the piston in the caliper is depressing closer to the rotor. Now what makes the piston go in? Brake fluid
so as the pistons are moving in, so is the brake fluid thus making it go down in the reservoir which is turning your brake light on. Check your pads to see where they are at. The same thing happened to me, but when I checked them they were almost new, I just needed more fluid. That may be your case too.

I ran around with my light out indicator on cause I couldnt find anything off, then when I sold them I found that there was no bulb in there
